F.A.Q.s
-
I am not a runner, can I still coach?
Of course! Coaches aren’t required to run, they just need to be committed to our mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. -
I don’t have experience with kids, can I still coach?Absolutely! The first 4 coaches of the Las Vegas council had a total of 0 kids between them. You don’t need kids to be a great coach, all you need is some confidence, a sense of humor, and some girl power!
-
I’m registering my daughter, can I coach her team?
At Girls on the Run we discourage parents from attending their daughter’s sessions as a coach or spectator. In order to promote a cohesive team where girls can be themselves and are encouraged to speak freely, we think it would inhibit the girls to have a parent or family member watching or listening. -
Do coaches get paid?
No, coaches are on a volunteer basis.
Any and all other questions will be answered at training. See you there!
